Purple and Brown Bedroom
This purple bedroom was designed by Adam Zollinger. I love the way he uses a muted purple as a neutral color. It blends well with the wood in the floor and the dark wood in the furniture. The area rug ties the room together. If you are going to use purple with wood, muted purples are a good way to go.
Purple and Chocolate Bedroom
As we saw in this room, purple and brown compliment each other well, especially when the purple is muted in tone. Designer Joseph Pubillones used muted purple on the wall and lavender sheets on the bed. The furniture, curtains, accent pillow, and throw blanket are chocolate, while the floor is a neutral wheat color.
Purple Damask Wallpaper
Damask wallpaper got its name from the 12th century weavers of Damascus, who were known for their intricate patterns and the quality of their yarns. Hundreds of years ago, the damask fabric itself would hang on the wall; now we simulate damask patterns with wallpaper like the gorgeous purple wallpaper pictured above.
Lavender Bedroom
This room is nice and serene, thanks to the lovely lavender and purple color palette. The designer mixed different shades, patterns, and textures in the space, but they all came together beautifully. On the wall, we can see damask wallpaper. The curtains are in a geometric pattern and the wall hanging his an eclectic mix of colors and shapes. The lavender bed and bedding are the centerpiece of the room.
Bedroom with Lavender Walls
Designer Robin Bell created a bright, airy bedroom with white bedding and a white chair. What really makes the room relaxing and tranquil is the lavender on the walls. When creating a purple bedroom, don't forget that the purple can come from any source, including paint on the walls. As you can see, the rest of the room is mostly white, but the purple is prominent without being overbearing.
Purple and Pink Traditional Bedroom
This bedroom is simply stunning. The designer used jeweltone purple and hot pink along with satin bedding to make this room look luxurious, and it does. The purple tufted headboard is the centerpiece of the room, and it is definitely the star of the show. The purple paisley carpet adds another gorgeous detail. The lamps on the nightstands appear to be beaded, providing more detailing. The pink curtains and wall compliment the purple nicely, showing that pink and purple are colorful sisters.
